The 87th Session China Watch Jewellery Fair
and The 12th Session Shenzhen International Watch Jewellery & Gifts
Fair, abbreviated as The 2001 China (Shenzhen) Watch Jewellery &
Gifts Fair, was held from April 25th to the 28th at the High-Tech
Exhibition Center of Shenzhen, China.
The show had deployed 600 booths and a total
floor area of 15,000 sq.m. It had pooled many of the brand-name
watch and jewellery products from Switzerland, Japan, South Korea,
Hong Kong, Taiwan and China mainland, as well as the related raw
materials, parts and components, devices and tools, making it one
of the best opportunities for overseas buyers to locate true manufacturers.
Apart from its beautiful surroundings and convenient transport,
China Shenzhen High-Tech Exhibition Center has also the most adequate
high-tech management and service facilities, which has established
a sound foundation for the success of the show.
The show has been dedicated to the promotion
of new product development. It has taken realistic steps to combat
plagiarism and infringement on rights to safeguard the international
image of Chinese watch industries and to protect intellectual right.
A "Fair Competition Committee" was set up, consisting of the industrial
experts, senior personnel and legal counselors. A "Patent Products
Show Area" was also allocated to strengthen the promotion of Chinese
patent and brand-name products in the effort to fully display the
research and design capacity of the Chinese timepiece industries.
The
session of show had generated total transactions in the amount of
RMB 463 million, and had received buyers 30,000 person-times, making
it currently another influential professional show event secondary
to only the Swiss Basel Show and the Hong Kong Watch Jewellery Show.
